2-2-26 Zoey - parvo puppy

Friends Of Greenup Paws is feeling angry. URGENT CALL FOR DONATIONS‼️
We received a plea for assistance to help save a puppy. Owner was given a puppy, not vaccinated, and last night she started vomiting uncontrollably and wouldn’t eat.
Sadly, this is another example of backyard breeding. In fact, the mother of this litter had been at the pound and then returned to her irresponsible owner who let her get pregnant. We had begged him to let us fix her and he declined. When she got pregnant, he reached out to the citizen that had returned the dog to him, and she decided to take mama off his hands and sell puppies for $350 instead of sending to rescue at the time. Fast forward to today. New owner unfortunately can’t afford treatment for this pup. We have been scrambling all day to try and locate transportation and find an emergency vet that’s open. She is now at Shawnee Animal Clinic and parvo positive, and low estimate is $1500 to treat her. We need your support in order to help save Zoey. Please keep her in your prayers. She is only 10 weeks old and deserves much better than this.

2-10-26 Lucy - ktty needs vet for anemia and kidney failure

We are still trying to save Sweet Lucy. Her blood work still shows she is in kidney failure and has severe anemia. She has been at the vet in Charlotte for 2 days getting IV fluids. We need to take her to another vet tomorrow to continue fluids and hopefully get a blood transfusion. We have already spent about $2,500 in the last 3 days and we've barely raised any funds for her. Please help us continue to treat her so that we can prolong her life. She is not that old and she is a very sweet loving girl. She has some improvement so we are wanting to do everything we can to continue to help her. We will be looking for a vet closer to the Statesville Salisbury area tomorrow that can do a blood transfusion to get her anemia under control. If you know of any please let me know.

2-13-26 Cooper - Cat need vet for jaw/mouth problem

I've been contacted about another urgent cat named Cooper that has been with one of our team members for at least 8 years. It was a feral that came from Rowan shelter and one of the officers who was working there at the time broke the Cooper's jaw. Since he was not friendly he was never able to be adopted and has just stayed with her for all these years.
This morning she noticed that he has something wrong with his mouth but he won't let her touch him to investigate. We're going to have to get him to South Rowan Animal Hospital tomorrow morning to figure out what is going on with him. We really could use your donations as our vet bills have been overwhelming. Poor Cooper has been through so much pain in his life with having had his job broken and having had surgery to repair it all these years ago.

2-19-26 Fire at Cat Rescue

Survivors found, saved, and surrounded by love after tragic shelter fire 🐾

We're told the owner of Second chance Stray Rescue has passed away in this heartbreaking fire, along with many of her cats. Baby Jack's Rescue is now caring for the survivors—right now, they are decompressig and in quarantine, per their process. At last check, they’ve safely trapped two kittens, but 15–20 more are still roaming around Ms. Rita’s house. They have faith they’ll safely trap the others, but they will need a huge amount of food, litter, and medical funds. 🐱❤️
