I've held off as long as I can but he definitely needs his teeth out if you can't I understand I am just reaching out to see thank you for all you do for all these cats. His appointment is Monday April 4th and he is under my name you could also mention TT's rescue squad because I am using their name for a discount thankfully they've been good enough to let me do that.

4-2-22  Pollie - needs surgery for polyps

Pollie has two polyps growing in her nasal cavity that are making it very difficult for her to breathe and it is progressing quickly. She is very small and has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, so it’s going to be a tricky procedure that requires a specialist. It’s going to be a bit scary having her under anesthesia so long with an existing neurological condition and also how small she is. She has already had a CT scan, so she is one expensive kitty  **UPATE** ITS GO TIME! WE HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! After last week’s CT scan revealed the severity of Pollie’s condition, we were scrambling to have her specialist appointment moved up ASAP! We knew she would need surgery quickly because of how bad her breathing had gotten😞 Yesterday, we were able to have her seen and they agreed that we had to get her into surgery within the week. So she is now scheduled for THIS TUESDAY! Due to her size & Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a specialist is the only option and she will have to be hospitalized overnight. WE HAVE TO RAISE THE MONEY! This might be our most expensive surgery yet!
Time is of the essence with Pollie as it seems to be progressing quickly and her breathing keeps becoming more of a challenge.
HELP US SAVE POLLIE’S LIFE!

4-6-22 Hester needs surgery for lump

One By One Animal Advocates is asking for donations.
Often times our animals need surgery in an emergency - hit by car, broken leg, etc. Rarely do we have an elective surgery where we have time to fundraise, but we do in Hester’s case. We hope you will love her as we do, and help her have the surgery that separates her from a hospice dog to hopefully one with several good years remaining. Hester is an 8 year old chihuahua mix who found herself in the Boyd County Shelter. We were able to get rescue for her, happily put her in foster, and marked her off our list as another successful save. It wasn’t until Hester went to the vet that we realized she had a serious issue that we had not initially noticed. If you look closely, you will see that Hester has a large, hard mass on top of her head causing a deformity. The initial thought was Hester would become a hospice foster, but further diagnostics indicate it can be removed. If left alone, the problem is “mass effect” … think of dogs you have seen where their head has a huge mass that distorts their face, eyes, ears, and more. It will be a lot easier to remove now than later on when more mass is involved.

4-8-22 Small rescue in need of help

Sammy's Hope Rescue: We have 0 pee pads and 1 bag of dog food. The rescue can't cover anything because it is in the negative. I will be heading to the store later to pay for a weeks worth on my personal credit card. Praying we have supporters willing to help for the next week. We use 100 pounds a week. That adds up very fast. Not to mention cleaning supplies, detergent, paper towels, cat supplies. All of which I have been paying for 90% of myself. The rescue doesn't have money guys. It's on my family. I am not sure how much longer we will be able to continue. ‼Need ASAP‼ Almost out of dog food and pee pads!! If anyone wants to help it would be very appreciated. We use a ton of pee pads in kennels and on the floor.

Another kitty with the dreaded and painful stomatitis! His owners do not have the funds to have his mouth treated so they turned to us for a little help. We can help, but only minimal as our funds are depleted. I do not have a photo so I am using a stock photo of one of my cats.

4-11-22 Honey - very sick and emaciated stray found

I'm heartbroken. This poor baby is in such horrible shape. It's hard to tell if it's male or female. I am suspecting female because of its tiny stature but it is matted so badly it's literally impossible to tell at this point. Its poor little ears are blocked solid. I put a little olive oil in each and I'm going to let it soften before I try to remove any more I was able to remove a big chunk out of the left ear. This cat is a total love bug. I managed to clip a big knot under its neck with my clippers but the rest are so tight to the skin that I'm afraid to. I bought her a new bed and I'm going to put a heating pad in it. She's eating like a piggy and drinking good so I'm going to let her decompress and let that olive oil work the crud loose and try to clean her ears up better later I'm afraid to even handle her because she is just bones. It's so heartbreaking. Please pray and if you can please donate I am going to take her to the vet tomorrow if I can get an appointment just to have her checked out and get her on the right Road. It's going to be a long time before a spay or neuter. We got to fatten her up first.

4-14-22 Brie - overbred rescue dog

This poor girl was failed by her humans. She was used for breeding, never fixed, and as a result has a life-threatening infection as well as a gaping open wound. She has been brought to Coral Ridge Animal Hospital (+1 (954) 958-9582 ) where they’re doing all they can for her and keeping her overnight. She may not make it through the night but if she does then there’s a chance for her. Her humans may have failed her, but I am damn sure not gonna do that and do all I can to save her. I can only do that with your help. I know, here I am asking again so soon, but what other choice do I have. Everybody gets a chance to make a difference and help save Brie, even if you just share the post. Thanks again for everything

4-15-22  Cat Colony

Another huge cat colony in need of help!! Another trailer park full of them. There is someone who is going to help TNR'ing but there are so many they really need help with feeding! This is so maddening because they are mostly friendly's so you know they used to be house cats. Some look very sick and all are emaciated from lack of food since nobody was feeding them. They did find a young couple living there who is willing to feed them but they cannot afford all the food on their own. There is probably over 100 cats from first glance.

4-20-22 Kennels needed for barn cats

Hi all! Myself and my rescue are looking for metal dog cages. We need the bigger ones! If you have any laying around please reach out to me! Picture for example! I started to help with the barn cat program bc the woman who was giving shots for my fosters had 5 “barn cats in her garage” I asked about them, I was a new foster…They were miserable and honestly so was she bc they make quite a mess!!! I though no way!! These babies need fresh air, they are not happy!!!! So I started blasting social media. I do a placement every weekend now. It’s only been a short time but I absolutely love doing it!! We do a 2 week acclimation in a large cage so these kitties will know they r fed and get water, they get used to smells and sounds… that’s what we need cages for. Then after 2 weeks they r set free and we have had a huge success rate doing it this way.

4-20-22 Bodhi dog need ER

Rafiki's Rescue is asking for donations. 🚨EMERGENCY🚨 We had to rush Bodhi to emergency tonight when his body suddenly went lateral, he began crying in pain, and could not move. Just moments earlier he was his playful, happy self and we were horrified to witness the change of events after all this pup has been through. When we got to the vet, we discovered he has a high fever and he was immediately put on IV fluids & antibiotics while we run more diagnostics to figure out what went wrong. You know that we have been monitoring Bodhi closely for any signs of the initially reported neurological symptoms, but we could not have imagined such a dramatic turn. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Our funds have run entirely dry and we CANNOT afford this! PLEASE consider making a donation to Bodhi’s care. We are devastated, shaken, and desperate for support.

4-25-22 - Zachary - kidney failure

Zachary a 13 year old kitty went to the vet for a checkup because he seemed to have hurt his leg and wasn't eating. The vet did the usual testing and he came back with severe kidney failure. The vet said the numbers were so bad he couldn't believe Zachary was even sipping water. His daddy was devastated to say the least. The vet said that there was no bringing him back from these numbers, as they were off the charts.  So we had to lay him to rest.
