12-02-18 Cat Colony feeder in need of food

A colony feeder is having a hard time keeping in food with her cats. She has a colony of 30-plus. I am asking anyone who can spare any extra, please contact Wendy Ide or Linda Kotch, so we can help this wonderful lady care for these innocent animals. Walmart and tractor supply has 40 pound bags for 20 bucks. If anyone is able to help, I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. These babies didn't ask to be here, and I applaud anyone that is willing to care for them daily. Remember it does take a village <3 Please share this post, we all must work together in order to better the lives of those who have no voice. thank you all in advance <3

We are also working on donations to get every cat there fixed . I pulled 23 kittens from there in 2-3 months . Wendy helped with a few and she got a friend of hers to take a mom and 5 babies . Myself and my one friend would like to get them all fixed before the breeding starts .

12-07-18 Panda, very sick abused cat

Panda is 17 years old and came from a severely abusive situation. He was beat and kept in dirty conditions without food, water, or a litter box. I took him in because I couldn’t let someone hurt such a sweet, loving, kind cat. He is so friendly and loving. I knew I was not in a position to take in another animal at the time being that all the others have had their fair share of sicknesses. Panda was being severely beaten and I couldn’t say no. I took him to the vet and he has heart disease, a bad heart murmur, high blood pressure, possible kidney disease, cataracts, a herpes flare up in his eye due to severe trauma, stress, and abuse and awful dental disease. We have had two trips to the vet. Panda needs heart meds, blood pressure meds, and insulin. The vet bills for panda have totaled $800 so far not including his medications. He even needs special diabetic food ! We can’t just let him die and rehoming a 17 year old cat with diabetes is far from likely. I’m going to to do the best i can for him I can’t just let him suffer and die. Anything anyone can do is greatly appreciated even if it’s just good thoughts and prayers. Pandas trips to the vet are far from over. Panda has never been to the vet once in 17 years and he has many more trips to come. Thank you in advance.

12-7-18 Danny - cat with suspected blockage

A local vet office called and asked if we could help with blood work and x-ray for a cat with a suspected blockage.  He has stopped eating, lost a lot of weight and is very ill. The owner already spent all the money they had and had no other options to help him. (I have no photo at this time but hopefully will get one).  The x-rays showed something grainy in the small intestine and the blood work will come in today.

12-10-18  Lycan-  very ill senior kitty

URGENT! SENIOR KITTY CRASHING AND NEEDS HOSPITALIZATION! $1400 IN FUNDS NEEDED NOW! LYCAN NEEDS US ALL NOW MORE THAN EVER. This sweet senior who we rescued a few months ago was dumped by his former owners because his brother died and they “couldn’t stand to lose another kitty”. Poor Lycan stopped eating at the shelter and withered into a tiny skeleton at LESS THAN 5lb. 😿 He has since found a loving foster and put on weight, but has stopped eating again and is fading fast. This sweet boy needs a blood transfusion and around the clock care at the emergency vet. We won’t give up on him but it is going to cost $1,400 to pay for all of these bills and the vet wants it NOW!  We have until the end of the day to raise $1,400 - PLEASE consider donating ANYTHING to Lycan so he can be saved!! All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated! (Carson Cats is a 501c3)  **UPDATE** Sweet Lycan is still hanging in there but we desperately need to raise another $1,000 to get him the care he needs!!

Please keep sharing and donations of any amount can be made at

12-14-18 Jiggy - kitty with stomatitis

Our poor Jiggy is very sick. He screams in pain when he tries to eat. We are feeding him soupy AD for sustenance. He has stomatitis and needs a full mouth extraction. He has been doing well on medication but now it is not working. Unfortunately I will not have any money coming until mid January and credit cards are maxed due to giving Tuesday. I need to raise between $1500 and $2000 for his dental. We cannot take him to our more reasonable $ vet as they do not have the dental xray equipment needed for a big job like this. 12-19-18 Odin - cat with skull fracture

Basils Cradle is asking for donations. Odin was found outside struggling to survive after his head suffered blunt force trauma, causing his skull to fracture and start healing wonky, and a broken jaw. The area that surrounds and protects his brain behind the skull is intact. The back of his sinus area is broken. His TMJ area is shattered, he has lost most of his teeth and his jaw will be repaired as much as they are able. He has had one surgery already and currently has a wire in his jaw. I'll be taking him in next week for a recheck and discussion on what happens next. Odin is soooo sweet and loving, and despite his trauma he is happy to be safe and loved. He requires extra care right now, and since Basils Cradle's mission is to help cats with special needs, how could we not help Odin and do so in a home environment so he can have as normal a life as possible? His vet bills are already in the thousands of dollars, and a second surgery is going to likely double that.  (Basils Cradle is a 501c3)

12-20-18  Mister - cat with urinary blockage

My little sisters cat (she’s 10, Mister her cat is 5) has had urinary blockages his whole life. One that was bad enough he went to the vet and medicines straightened it out, since then he gets mild ones but upping his wet food has fixed it. Now he’s been in the hospital since Sunday, we’ve capped our finances trying a treatment that has failed. Apparently his penis is curved and he over produces a protein based mucous. So his urethra is too small and the mucous fills it up too fast. He has to have his penis cut off and urethra rerouted our be put down. We already used scratch pay for $1000 of the $1800 vet bill so far and don’t qualify for care credit, and the ER vet doesn’t do payments. On top of this our storage unit flooded yesterday and in the last month we’ve had death in the immediate family, my dad was laid off and been in a fire. I hate begging online but I am doing anything possible to avoid telling my sister we have to put her cat down this close to Christmas.

12-22-18 - Horse farm in dire need of food

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic: Friends, clients, animal lovers, horse people. Please share this and help us with a Christmas miracle. We were contacted by a wonderful lady tonight (a client, who loves her horses). We have known this family for years and taken care of their pets. This family is hurting. They have fallen on tough times, husband recently had a heart attack and is awaiting bypass surgery, so has been unable to work due to this disability, amongst many other terrible things that just keep piling up.They have been trying hard to start an Equine therapy program for disabled kids and adults with mental and physical disabilities. They go above and beyond for people and animals. Their house is on the market but with no buyers. They need to feed their horses through the winter. Come spring they have a place to send them in Western PA, so we want to help spread the word so people can donate hay and grain. Even one bag of grain or one bale of hay from someone will help them. They are desperate and have about 3 weeks worth of food left for their precious animals. And barely any groceries for themselves. Let's make a difference if we can.  100% of money collected for this cause will go to buy food for these horses and donkeys. We want to try and total 200 bales of hay and 50 bags if grain. Thank you all. Please share! They have tried Go fund me before and had no donations, let's band together and help this family, please.List as follows:
Based on the horses and donkeys differing needs, we use a variety of feeds. There may be additional comparable brands which is fine; we would simply make changes gradually. I put in parenthesis approximately how many bags we need of each feed for two months.

I also added the other things that we need for their care.

1. (15) Purina All Stages or Blue Seal Trotter

2. (8) Purina Senior or Buckeye EQ 8 Senior

3. (6) Buckeye Grow & Win

4. (4) Buckeye Growth Textured Sweet (or any type sweet)

5. (6) Buckeye Ultimate Finish (or any high fat feed good for a 'hard keeper')

6. (4) Blue Seal Carb Guard (or any type feed appropriate for Equine Metabolic Syndrome)

Hay - for two months, we need between 150 and 180 bales.

Supplements - Heave Ho for respiratory problems (one has allergies and is prone to heaves)

- Cosequin ASU+

Shavings - any amount would be helpful

If there are any farriers who could donate service once or twice, we would be very grateful or if anyone could donate money toward the farrier, our farrier's name is Patrick Kocker (Blue Rose Forge). The cost is $315.00. They have never been overdue, but are currently one week overdue.

Of course, we would also be absolutely thrilled for any donations to our outstanding vet bills.

We will meet anyone where it is convenient for them. So many amazing people out there, Thank you ALL. The client has given me permission to post her cell # it is 724-998-0748, please text first, so she knows who is calling and why. Ask for Peggy. This truly is what the holiday season is about, you are all wonderful xxx

12-22-18 Overwhelmed Rescuer

I  seriously could sit down and just cry... I’m so overwhelmed right now. How are there so many uncaring people around our area?

I went and picked up a beautiful dog I’ve had in boarding for a long time, to take to Oklahoma City to meet transport to Tulsa.... so excited for that’s one less in boarding. (I have several there already)

. On the way, I get a picture of a starved GERMAN Shepherd, which I learn was probably dumped in the country, for it had been seen out there for a month now... I guess she finally made her way into town. She is starved. And sadly, terrified. Then, while still driving, I get messages and calls about a momma pit with three little babies walking on I 40... I’m almost a hundred miles from home so I post for help and call my wonderful lady that boards my pound dogs. Her husband went right away and picked them up..Meanwhile, we find owners and it isn’t a good situation for them to go back there, so I had them surrender momma and babies. THEN. We stop for dinner and I get a call about an owner surrender little chi. OMG. so tomorrow I will pick her up too.My heart aches. How do all these dogs end up with nobody caring. I’ll never understand it. So now I urgently need help placing and possibly boarding. Yes, I know, it’s Christmas time and money is short But I can NEVER turn my back on them and my vet bill is already so high. It isn’t who I am. Please help me save them. They deserve better than what they’ve been dealt. So I take one out and get SIX IN.

Friends, are you interested in paying it forward to someone who has taken five kittens in from a bad situation? If so, please send me a PM. The woman who took in these five kitties really could use some cat food and litter so she can continue to care for these babies until we can find a rescue for them. Please let me know if you would like to donate. and you do not need to be local in Charlotte to do so.

12-23-18 - Ben - very sick kitten

On my way home from the vet emergency. Ben came over tonight and I was so happy to see him and that he had gained weight and was doing so well! Suddenly our sweet little guy started breathing heavy and we thought it was the best decision to rush him to the emergency room. He may have a problem with his heart and he is overnight at the hospital on oxygen and medications that we hope will help him improve. We are devastated and very upset. We have worked so hard on this little guy for 4 weeks now and I want nothing more than for this little guy to make it after everything he's been through and everything we have been through with him. I put down $450 tonight as a deposit but will need help covering his bill that is only estimated to last him through the night. We will have to figure out what to do tomorrow if he starts improving and obviously want to do the very best for him.  Ben was found starving to death and cold in the middle of the road 4 weeks ago. He means a lot to us. :( his estimate for one night of hospitalization is $900 and he may need oxygen and treatment again tonight but we don't know how we can afford it.

Sadly we wont be celebrating Christmas with no funds for gifts or dinner. I'm trying to keep every penny to help the Cats & Rescues. I care for about 30 TNR Cats daily, 8 are in my home. I don't know what else to do or try.

12-27-18 100+ cat colony in South Bethlehem

Over in south side, there are HUNDREDS of cats we're helping tnr. The city of Bethlehem is funding the TNR project but doesn't help with food. There is one man who is trying to feed hundreds. Do you have followers that would help donate cat food for him? Mike, myself and carol have been doing what we can to help feed. There's just sooooo many. You've never seen anything like this before. They're on roof tops, broken house windows everywhere. We are trying to get neighbors to understand and help but they speak spanish and it is hard to communicate.  One woman throws human food out every night for them. The Dollar Club just had $280 worth of dry food shipped to him.  If anyone wants to donate canned food, which is better for winter time, PM The Dollar Club and I can send you the mans address. Or just paypal to The Dollar Club and I can have more sent.

12-28-18 Jack Frost - a horse that need medical care to keep from slaughter

JACK FROST NEEDS A NEW YEAR'S MIRACLE - PLEASE!

Don't let Jack go to slaughter....It's almost New Year's Eve and while millions will be celebrating around the world, there will be no celebration for this young horse. Right now he is starving, cold & wondering what he ever could have done to have caused those who were supposed to love & care for him most, to turn their hatred & unkindness on him. .Right in under the wire is another angel that is desperately turning to us to save him. Time is of the essence for all of us to rally together once again and pull off a New Year Miracle!

This sweetheart has not known any kindness in his short life. He was let down by his owner from the moment he was born and left to manage on his own...in pain, from something that could have been treated at birth. If WE don't help, this 2 yr old will be loaded onto a trailer, with who knows how many other horses, and driven to Mexico for slaughter. If you have ever looked up horse slaughter, or saw the images, it's a heartbreak & sorrow that becomes seared into your heart & mind. How can we let this happen? He will have never known kindness, compassion or love.

just hate and pain. We can do this.. we can give this sweet baby the life he deserves full of love and hugs and warmth and food. We cannot do it without your help though. Would you PLEASE consider donating towards saving this little guy and getting him the help he not only needs, but deserves.  https://southjerseyhorserescue.com/ is a 501c3

12-31-18 Ollie - dog hit by car

Ollie was being a typical dog and was chasing a cat and ran into a car... the guy stopped (he didn’t hit her) we knew she had a broken leg... she did some damage to his car,( she was running pretty darn hard) I asked Brian to go get my truck while I stayed with her so we only had to pick her up once rather than cause her more pain being carried. While we were waiting for him (about 1 minute or less) a woman came flying down the road didn’t see me, Ollie, a friend and the man who’s car she ran into.... nor did she see the lights on two vehicles in the road. Scott stood there waving for her to slow down so did the guy who stopped, she was coming at us full speed ahead. Scott grabbed me and threw me out of the way, the guy who stopped pushed Scott and he jumped out of the way.... the woman ran over Ollie right in front of me, Ollie went flying, the woman never stepped on the breaks before hitting her. She finally stopped..... (she was obviously on her phone not paying attention) as my Ollie laid there crying for help in front of me.... Thus far, this has been my absolute weakest moment of my life.... to see my Ollie lifeless like she was.
We picked her up, drove her 30 miles to the closet ER. They did CPR on her, gave her meds, trying to reduce swelling on her brain (she is fine neurology as of right now, this is just a precaution) she IS responding and tail wagging (I did get to see her) She does however have 4 broken ribs, and 3 broken legs.... she will need surgery on 2 of the 3 legs.....This girl is one hell of a fighter that’s for sure, she is in critical condition to say the least..... she did look at us and wagged her tail... I am still in shock, I can not believe this woman didn’t see two vehicles with lights on, and 3 people standing in the road.
