1-7-24 Hank - very sick puppy

We struggle with where to even begin this post. We are overwhelmed, upset, frustrated and faced with a decision we have never ever had to make in all our years of rescue. The decision to try to save an animal in our care or choose to euthanize over funds. For us, that’s unacceptable to even consider. We never have done that and we never thought we would ever have to. But here we are in a situation we have no control over and facing that choice. As you know Hanks been back and forth since almost intake with what was first suspected as a minor respiratory infection that just wouldn’t quite get better, he wasn’t worse but wasn’t better. Meds seemed to have no effect but the other pups really never showed these symptoms so it was questioned if this was just a Hank issue. However due to Hanks ongoing respiratory issue we choose to continue to keep all pups on quarantine in their fosters. Yesterday Hank took a rapid turn and was having belly breathing and while at the vet quickly turned to gasping to breathe without oxygen. We pulled together all our resources and came up with the $2400 to admit him to intensive care last night where he remains. Today Shady quickly followed suit and was taken to the vet with the other siblings in his foster where they were quickly ushered out due to the possibility of this being the mysterious respiratory illness in dogs that has also on occasion been fatal. We were incredibly upset to be sitting in a car with a puppy rapidly deteriorating so we rushed right over to Valley ER where the Drs and staff quickly accessed and started care. Shady has also been admitted in intensive care but we absolutely must go by the end of the day today to give them $2900 for him to continue to stay. We are thankful they started immediate care while we try to figure out how on earth we can do this. The other puppies are also being seen at the ER as we write this and only one has mildly raspy lungs so far and we are being proactive and starting all on multiple meds to try to get ahead of this before they crash to. If we cannot find a way to come up with $2900 by the end of the day we unfortunately will have no choice but to have to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize because we will not be able to continue care. This rocks us to our core and the feeling of utter defeat is one we have never felt so deeply. We need you to help us do all we can to save them. We absolutely cannot do this without you. Unfortunately the funds are needed immediately and the only way to immediately get funds is via pay pal or Venmo or in hand.

1-7-24 Cat food needed

Rescue Warriors Cat Rescue
I'm Jackie Bowers the Director of Rescue Warriors Cat Rescue . Those of you that know me, know I have been off sick from work over the holidays for 2 wks with pneumonia. When I was able to go back to work, I found out where I was working was closing down.😭 This trully couldn't have happened at a worse time. It's the middle of winter and not many places hiring. I went and applied for food stamps, ahcccs and unemployment yesterday. Unemployment is 6 to 8 wks behind. I am desperate for help for the kitties. We need food and litter for them. We are on day 47 of Piglets FIP treatment, she is doing amazing. I need to order 3 more vials this week = $180. Please help us help the kitties, I haven't been unemployed for a very long time and I am worried.

1-8-24 Shawnee - elderly cat is very very ill

My cats name is Shawnee. He is roughly 18 years old who I believe is in the end stages of his life. He is extremely thin and frail, has trouble seeing and his gait is extremely wobbly. he is not eating or drinking much on his own unless it's very watered down cat food for fluids and nutrients. I don't know if he's in some kind of organ failure or anything. He falls over while walking, trying to jump from short distances and misses. I have to feed him very watered down canned cat food, pouches or baby food 2-3 times a day to make sure he gets water and at least some nutrients. I can not currently get him to the vet due to being disabled (although they will get him to and from the car for me), not currently working because of being disabled and my abusive husband who up and quit his job yesterday, not providing me money to take Shawnee to the vet.

1-10-24 Cat food needed

Another colony in need of food. This one is huge. It takes several hours to get them all.

There are a few colonies this person feeds by herself. She really needs help. She does try to keep up with TNR when she sees new ones. She will not give the addresses as people keep dumping more when she does.

1-23-24 Cat food needed

A young man contacted me trying to get some help for feeding a bunch of cats he found on the propety of his new home he just purchased. He feels bad for them and is trying to do the right thing. I got hi in touch with someone to help determine of they are spayed and neutred and if not, they will help him do that. But for now he really needs food. He has no idea how many there are but it appears to be a lot. With just buying his home, he has very limited money. I advised him we could get some sent as soon as possible.

Ryennes Rescue and Rehabilitation
Attention 🙏 ‼️‼️ SEEKING BACKING IMMEDIATELY ‼️‼️ We are low on resources for these kitties, they are a combination of about 16 dumped and outside cats who’ve formed a colony who was stumbled upon by accident in flint , I run this rescue in Swartz creek single handedly with one volunteer who comes 2x a week . The rescue itself has 9 cats in house , and we’ve already claimed a colony out in Fenton , doing Tnr for them vetting friendlies and bringing them inside. I’m at a loss because I can not care for another colony with no support from other rescues and donations . please get these guys out there by SHARING ITS FREE 🆓 SHARING is the only chance of real help they have. Last few days I’ve taken the dry food I had extra of , got 2 shelters out there and leave fresh water . 💦

1-25-24 Cat food needed

Shared your post! I wish I could. I have enough trouble feeding My own cats. Gave them the last of their food tonight and I feed the neighbors cats as well because they are outside all the time and I try to feed them while it's cold outside and right now they will have to get some scraps because I'm broke and the Vet bills killed this month. Had to finish paying on My cat that passed away in November and then now have another Vet bill because My sisters cat passed away in January so that is another bill that has to be paided. I'm always broke and have problems only feeding 4 cats in and I think there might be 6 cats outside but there might be more coming to eat. I wish I could help out.

1-27-24 Aggie - stray needs vet

VERY URGENT SENIOR ALERT!!! This is a 12-year-old extremely extremely affectionate girl and they are marking her as having Influenza. She is screaming and begging everybody that walks by to get out of the cage. And once she is out of the cage all she does is rub all over everybody and want to be held. She urgently needs out of the shelter immediately as everybody is in danger as the shelter is very very full. She really needs a rescue with a foster that is willing to get some weight on her and give her a lot of attention. Due to her age it might even be a hospice type situation but would probably need a thorough vet check to confirm that. She is located at the Riverside County shelter on Grand Avenue in San Jacinto California.PLEASE SHARE!!

Update She is safe and out of the shelter with an amazing Foster and she has a room of her own with a window to look out! She's being extremely affectionate. She had a bath and a nail trim and a blow dry. Still needs rescue backing. Update  Aggie has a doctor appointment tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. to get a check up and Senior blood work. She still doesn't have rescue backing so if anybody is able to help with donations directly to the vet I put the information in the comments. If the money isn't raised for her vet visit then she's going to have to cancel the appointment.

1-28-24 Skipper - eyes bulging

I have a 7 month old kitten, Skipper, in my rescue who started looking bloated in her face about 2 weeks ago and her eyes look like they are bulging out. She also started hiding all day and only coming out to eat once a day.  I haven’t been able to get enough funding. I am recently disabled and haven’t had a paycheck since October. She’s getting worse and I really want to take her in today but I only have $100 in donations. Can anyone help me? She will be going to Alief Animal Hospital. Skipper is getting worse. She is in pain 😭The whites of her eyes are red. I’m worried she will go blind. SKIPPER NEEDS TO SEE A VET. I’m am on temporary disability and don’t have any source of income.

1-30-24 Cat food needed

Since this is not an emergent need, we sent food/litter supplies instead:

Hello, we took in a sick cat about a week ago. It was on Facebook on the lost pets page with 200 comments as well as the forgotten voices page. The woman that was feeding him paid $400 @ rush a week ago Sunday. He had a URI, mouth infection and paw access. Also fiv. She could nit take him back so we ha e been caring for him and have found him a permanent home. We have to take him for a follow up appointment at Easton animal hospital next week which will cost us a couple hundred dollars estimated. Would this fund be able to help? The woman that found him paid it but now she won't pay any more leaving us stuck with his care. Would you be able to pay for food and litter to help him since we are now stuck with paying a vet bill
