3-3-19  Red Barn cat/Polly

Cat Atrium is asking for donations. This little girl was found during our rescue of the numerous barn cats left behind after the death of the land owner. The new land owner was shooting the cats. This poor girl was a victim of the new land owner. The vet said that there was too much damage to save the leg and it will have to be amputated. Would you please consider donating toward her surgery?  As for charges being filed, Sadly, this is NOT considered illegal by Tennessee law. These cats are considered abandoned, because he is not the owner. By Tennessee law, it is NOT considered illegal to "dispatch wild or abandoned animals on a farm or residential real property". Plus, he is allowing us on to his property and is not harming them as long as we remove them in an agreed time frame.

3-6-19 Garth - kitty with burst abscess

Halteman's Haven Rescue
Garth was rushed into the Emergency clinic last night. It turns out the lump on his hip and the reason for the limp was a severe abscess. It exploded yesterday. I came home to what looked like a murder scene. It appears the abscess started from a bite wound. Only Wayne and Garth are together in their room, so it came from Wayne. It was not malicious, but they play too hard and do fight at times. This time it got too rough and Garth is in a really bad way. The bill in this pic is only for emergency service to get him through the night. He needs to have the wound treated today and that is additional. We are in DIRE need of donations. Our vet bills over the past month have been outrageous and we need your help. PLEASE donate and share to help us get these babies taken care of. Halteman's Haven Rescue is a 501c3

3-6-19 Ophelia - kitten with HORRIBLE paw injury needing amputation

Tiny Tigers Rescue is asking for donations.Just a baby at around 4 months old, she was presented to us with open wounds on her leg, back, and most alarmingly accompanied by a severely mangled rear leg that was left unattended for an estimated minimum of 4 days. All injuries considered, this incredible girl is a trooper and still thrilled us by purring and making biscuits while receiving emergency veterinary care.  In the future Ophelia will need an amputation of the broken leg, but due to the amount of time lapsed before treatment was sought, a severe infection is currently riddling her little body and will have to be treated before surgery can become an option. She’s currently on two different antibiotics, anti inflammatory medication, and much needed pain management which in our opinion is far more than any kitten her age should have to deal with.

Here at Tiny Tigers all lives have value, are deserving of love and kindness. Tiny Tigers is a 501c3

3-11-19 ChooChoo - kitty with urinary blockage

I was contacted friday with the following:

"can anyone help me. my kitty is very sick and will need surgery for a blocked UTI. I had him to emergency vet and regular vet and paid what I could but don't have another for the surgery. can anyone help share my fundraiser please. he needs this surgery or he will die. Those who rather call donation into vet that is fine as well I just need him to have this surgery. please help
The Dollar Club, helping animals one dollar at a time".

Long story short, the ER vet said he had to have surgery or he would die, she didn't have enough money so they simply emptied his bladder, gave him anti inflammatories and sent him home. The owner was hoping he would make it until she could get to her regular vet monday which would have been cheaper.  We did collect enough for his surgery mostly from a GREAT donor who sent $600 towards it.  **UPDATE** Choochoo did pee over the weekend so she took him to her regular vet this morning. It turns out he did not need that invasive surgery after all, he just needed minor surgery to remove a HAIR blockage then went up through his penis. The bill was much smaller than anticipated so we were able to refund the $600 and use the other donations we received.  He is now home and recuperating from the surgery to remove the hair plug.

3-11-19 Gus - kitten with a bad tail injury

TriState Noah Project  **WARNING-GRAPHIC**  HELP NEEDED FOR SEVERELY INJURED STRAY KITTEN Yesterday one of our volunteers, Holly, picked up this little guy who she named Gus Gus (he reminded her of Gus from Cinderella). He has been living in the woods behind an apartment complex in Maysville, KY and is approximately 6-7 mos old. Yesterday he went in as an emergency at Harrison Animal Hospital where they began antibiotics. We have no idea how this happened to his tail but it needs to be amputated immediately due to infection. We are having him combo tested and neutered while there so he doesn’t have to return to life on the streets.

This was another unexpected emergency and we are all volunteer. Every $5 or $10 helps. We already picked up another very sick stray from the route this morning we have at Noah’s Ark now and could really use some help with this guy. His bill is expected to be $450. If you can help there are a few ways to donate: Tri State Noah Project is a 501 c3

3-11-19 NoNo - severely neglected kitty needs dental work ASAP(This was a previous case we assisted with)

Thank you to everyone for your continued love, prayers and support for NoNo. The time has come to where we have no choice but to have her teeth pulled due to massive infection in her gums and nasal passage. The 2 vets as well as others feel that this could help eliminate some of the upper respiratory issues that she is battling .Dr. Cline is not comfortable giving her more antibiotics to treat the URI due to them being so strong, he’s afraid it is going to start causing internal damage. He has strongly suggested pulling her teeth, we just haven’t had the money and she was so sick, we were afraid (still are) of putting her to sleep. We have received a quote between $500-$600 for the anesthesia, spay and removal of what few teeth she has left. There is NO WAY we can afford this without the help of Nono supporters. We are shooting for $1,000 for any follow up visits and medications needed. If each of her followers could donate at least $1, that would definitely get her the procedure plus some. PLEASE SHARE so that we can raise the money to get the procedure done ASAP. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!! Please continue for follow Nono’s progress on Facebook “The journey of Nono”

3-14-19 Candy - severely neglected and injured dog

Friends Of Cal City Animals. ❗️EMERGENCY! MEDICAL NEEDED ❗️ She has been named Candy,  and she needs our help! She was left in the drop kennels this morning by a good samaritan...bloody, injured, engorged with a what appeared to be a torn nipple. We expected mastitis and infection. Wendy rushed her to Pets R Us and we found out her injuries were worse than we thought, her underside opened up under her fur. Shortly after arrival she began gushing blood. Petrays reports revealed in addition to her external issues she has pyometra. The odds aren’t as favorable with pyometra but we HAVE to try. This is the sweetest girl - she was so grateful to receive affection and leave the shelter, and collapsed on Wendy’s son at the vet. We DESPERATELY need IMMEDIATE funds for her care! Her care estimate for surgery and hospitalization is $2700. Just a reminder we are not a 501c3, we are just two girls trying to raise funds for Cal City animals and emergency cases.

We called in a donation to a 24/7 ER animal hospital who saw Tigger immediately and agreed, and needed to be set free ASAP. 3-18-19 Cat colony in need of food

Good morning There is a family in Littlerock Ca that has a cat colony of 50
They moved them all here with them when they moved from down below as they couldn’t leave them behind So they bought a house up here & build a cattery indoors & a totally screened outdoor section - it’s really awesome. Well they reached out to me as her spouse is on disability for the past few months fighting cancer & their money on disability is around half of what was normally brought in. So they run short each month on cat food & litter. Are you able to help them out? They did create a wish list on amazon too. Here is their link:

3-19-19 Help needed with food for cats and dogs

Gloucester County, NJ To all my friends out there, I am asking a really special favor. I have a very dear friend who used to foster for me at Here Kitty.  Kitty. Unfortunately she moved to Gloucester County and it is very hard to continue to foster for Here Kitty Kitty.

To make a very long story short she has fallen on hard times and is finding it very hard to feed all her fur babies. Even though she is struggling right now the thought of giving any of them up (as was suggested to her), is totally out of the question. Can you find it in your heart to donate dog and or cat food and litter to help her over this rough patch. Thank you.

3-24-19 Small non-profit needs help with a very sick colony

We took on a major challenge when we were asked to help a colony with many kittens and cats. When we went, we thought it would be an easy matter to spay and neuter them and put back (Trap Neuter Return). However, we soon found newborn kittens with maggots in their ears and other tiny kittens with infected eyes We incurred huge bills at the emergency and regular vets when they crashed. While we looked forward to socializing and adopting the kittens out, that turned into tragedy as first three bottle babies and then older kittens died one after another from the "mystery disease" that we later found out to be FIP Feline Infectious Peritonitis. So while we spayed and neutered many adults, we lost 7 of the 22 kittens we picked up with or without mothers. We still have many more adults to spay and neuter. We don't know if there are many more kittens. We think some have been killed by wildlife or died from the "mystery disease" that killed the kittens. We must continue the spaying and neutering so no more kittens are born that may die a horrible death. When we TNR a colony we don't leave any intact cats. We took the two cats that had injuries to their rumps, attacked by other animals, to the vet, they had to be sedated, wounds cleaned and given expensive long term shots. Cost $255. We also tried to get the cat with bleeding stump foot but he didn't go in the trap. That will be another bill, besides the neutering that is $40 per cat including distemper. Plus we want to get the females we haven't caught before they get pregnant. We have performed rescues like these and others for 40 years. Our dedication to cats is unwavering. We have helped any cat that has crossed our path. Our rescue would be blessed to receive enough funds to continue our work. Help us so we can help them. We appreciate your continuing support. Thank you.

3-25-19 Huge Cat Hoarding situation

A huge hoarding situation was discovered in Pennsylvania. What was initially thought as 30 cats has turned into well over 100.  They found 60 cats in one room alone!! The home is now in foreclosure  Most of them are sick and not spayed/neutered. So far, there are two local rescues/shelters trying to take as many of these cats as they can.  However, they can't take them all until they can get fosters and adopters to help. The future of the remaining cats in uncertain but they are trying to keep them fed. The Sanctuary at Haafsville and Camp Papillon are the groups trying to help. The Dollar Club has sent $100 to each so far. Both groups are 501c3's and I will post links to their facebook pages below. Both groups needs help with money for vet care and supplies.  They could also use fosters or adopters to help with this massive undertaking so they can save more cats.

3-28-19 Max - stomatitis

MAX IS MISERABLE!!!! HE IS SUFFERING FROM STOMATITIS AND NEEDS DENTAL SURGERY!!!! UPDATE: 3/23/19 Max saw the surgeon today. He has multiple HUGE ulcers in the back of his mouth (each about the size of a quarter). He also has an abscess in the right side of his mouth. After reviewing his history, there is nothing left to do except extract his teeth. He is currently on a new different round of antibiotics and pain medications. His surgery is set for April 4th. If you can find it in your heart to help.  UPDATE: 3/18/19 Took Max back to the vet today. They are referring him to a dental surgeon. He sees the surgeon Saturday.  UPDATE: 3/5/19 The vet did a full blood work up and urinalysis, x-rays, and an ultrasound. His mouth looks like raw hamburger meat around his gums. On top of everything else he has crystals in his urine. He put him on a new regime of antibiotics and a new pain medication. This little guy is feeling miserable. He has a bad case of stomatitis that just gets worse by the day. He has ulcers all in his mouth. He is on pain medication and antibiotics. He doesn't want to eat because his mouth is so sore. He needs blood work, x-rays, and dental work to hopefully correct this problem. He is going to the vet again today.

3-31-19 Jackson - family dog shot by police

I'm requesting assistance for a friend. He called me around noon today in a total panic because the police shot his dog. One of the kids opened the front door and put in the wrong code for the alarm, which sent a distress call to the monitoring company. The police showed up and when the one girl went to open the door, Jackson ran out. Jackson is a 2 year old mastiff mix who is still ALL PUPPY! The girl yelled at the officer to tell them he won't hurt them, but the officer shot Jackson anyways. Not once, but twice! I through on clothes and rushed to his house, picked up the dog and 2 kids and rushed him to Medvet. They wanted an immediate payment, so I put $500 on my credit card so they could start treatment. He is now in surgery. One of the bullets punctured his lung and it collapsed. The other bullet his between the neck and shoulder blades. They do not know the extent of the damage at this point, but the estimate is $8 - 10,000! Can we share his story on your page and request donations be made directly to the ER Hospital? The dog is Jackson and the owner is Jim Ludwick. Jackson is at Medvet in Cincinnati, Ohio, 513-561-0069. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
