5-1-20  Henry - Diaphramatic Hernia repair

Angels of Animals, Inc is asking for donations. WOW, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Does anyone want to talk about the odds that we would take in ANOTHER cat with a diaphragmatic hernia who requires immediate EMERGENCY SURGERY? Because it's about 1 in a million, friends, and Henry is the third cat we have seen this year with this life-threatening injury that is caused by physical trauma (such as physical abuse or being hit by a car)but here we are and we need your help! Do we have the money to pay for Henry's surgery? No! Are we holding our regular fundraisers during normal, happy times? Also no! Are we going to save Henry's life anyway? YOU BET WE ARE! Because saving lives and believing in miracles is what we do, and we are not going to let anything stop us from saving this precious life. Henry is about a year old, and things must have been good for this sweet boy once. But a few weeks ago, he was thrown out on his own for reasons we will never know. During that time he became ill with double eye infections, and was also HIT BY A CAR OR PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED. Now his intestines are in his chest and he cannot breathe. If we had not taken him in when we did, he would have died in the streets alone.

5-1-20  Trevor  -  very sick dog

Animal Allies Rescue Foundation (AARF) is supporting Animal Allies Rescue Foundation (AARF).
Meet 12-year old Trevor, a very handsome senior poodle who has had rough few weeks.

A few weeks ago, his longtime owner passed away After an initial evaluation, it was noted that he had severe dental disease including two fistulas, possible cataracts, and an eye infection. We knew he was in extreme pain from his mouth, but was a champ during exams and a cooperative patient. Despite being scared, after the loss of his home, he was a good boy in need of another chance, and AARF stepped up. Like many senior pooches, his first stop was a trip to the dentist for a good cleaning and to pull some painful teeth. It turns out "a few" teeth ended up being 15 total removed. What we didn't know until he was under was that the fistulas that had been noted were severely infected - so badly infected, that they had eaten away at his jaw until it was split in two. An infection so gruesome that it had created a hole in the roof of his mouth: what was initially thought to be an eye infection, was actually green puss discharging via that hole, through his eyes. These are Trevor's Golden Years. In the past few weeks, Trevor's life has been turned upside down. The loss of his owner and a temporary home who knew he needed more care than they could provide him. An unexpectedly serious surgery and #theconeofshame. He's a sweet boy who wants to be close to his humans and his new foster doggy siblings. And most importantly, he has another shot. AARF doesn't shy away from senior pups. We know that they're not old, they're just experienced. They're the best snugglers, expert cuddlers, and most of all, appreciate every day. Trevor's bills will surpass $4200, and we need your help. He's worth every penny.

Please SHARE or donate to help us cover Trevor's medical care, and get him on the path to his AARFily Ever After.

5-7-20  Brutus  -  dog needing spine surgery

A few days ago Brutus lost his ability to walk on his hind legs, he was in pain, with no
explanation, leaving the family distraught and rushing to The Animal Care Center of The
Poconos. We were told it was likely he needed extensive surgery which would likely cost
anywhere between $5k and $7k. We love our beloved Brutus but the financial struggle was
apparent and we had to weigh the financial options and his overall quality of life.
By generous donations we were able to get enough money for him to be seen by the specialist
and establish a vet and a goal plan for his financial and physical care, but we didn’t know if we would have enough money for the vet deposit. We took a 2 ½ hour trip to Upstate NY and prayed for the best because at least it was something. By a stroke of luck before we left for Cornell University Vet, my IRS stimulus check came and with additional donations and funds, we knew we had at least a fighting chance of getting him the best care we could. When we got there and he was evaluated but we were still $1500 short of the deposit for hospitalization. We knew this was a possibility and we were preparing for medical home care for us to raise the rest of the funds, when by a stroke of luck at midnight our family member called and offered to help us with the remaining balance. We called the vet right away and set him up for hospitalization. This was a miracle because Brutus’s condition is critical and time sensitive. Now we have to come up with the rest of the balance in this emergency situation and we need your help. Everything helps, even $5, $10 or $100. We are accepting direct donations to the vet and we appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and considerations at this time.

5-20-20  Vanna White  -  kitty with ulcer on her eye

The cats mother passed and the son was going to leave the cat outside. Our friend, the neighbor, rescued her and brought her to Valley Kitten Nursery and Rescue.  She recently had an accident possibly with a car that slightly injured her back legs. She was not taken to the vet for care. Now she is a little unsteady on her back legs. But she uses the box fine and loves to be pet, brushed and lay in the sun. A quiet and well behaved kitty. This sweet kitty needs a break and hopefully a forever home. Vanna now needs to have one eye removed. Her eye was injured and has an ulcer. The vet estimates the cost to be 550. Please help Vanna White the kitty! Any amount is never too small and will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you and God Bless You.

5-26-20  Donna - kitty with a liver shunt

Angels of Animals, Inc is asking for donations. *A LIFETIME COMMITMENT - PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN* Donna wasn't supposed to live past her first birthday, yet here she is at nearly 5 years old, living with an inoperable liver shunt. Despite around-the-clock special care and constant monitoring, Donna will occasionally end up at Oradell for emergency care and hospitalization, and that happened recently. Our commitment to our "Purrmanent Residents", those with intensive medical needs who are not candidates for traditional adoption, is FOR LIFE, and that means providing the highest quality medical care, plus lifelong specialty food and medication, to ensure a good quality of life. Donna's most recent hospital stay cost $4200. With our traditional fundraisers such as our Kitten Shower and Tricky Tray on indefinite hold, we need your help more than ever. Please help with a donation if you can - no amount is too small - and click the link to learn more about our Purrmanent Residents on our website, where you can "adopt" one of these special cats by becoming a monthly sponsor! http://angelsofanimals.org/sanctuary/

5-29-20  Toby  -  Very ill cat

Toby was found on the streets of Passaic very ill and emaciated. He was TNR'd and going to be released back to the bad area he was found. Toby is FIV+ to add to his issues. I didn't have the heart to let this poor baby go back to the streets. He cannot see as he is blind in one eye and the other eye is crossed with a severe infection. He has a severe URI, was starving and a filthy mess. He is not friendly but helping these street cats is my forte. Yesterday he stopped eating and became lethargic so I rushed him to my vet. He has severe conjunctivitis, blind, gingivitis, lost 2 more pounds even though he was eating ravenously, has had 3 extractions when TNR and a fever of 104.5. My vet tried to clean him up but he really needs a bath which is not feasible at this time. We did a full CBC and he was given antibiotics again and eye meds. He has very thickened intestines so may need an ultrasound after blood work results cone in to determine if it's severe IBD or lymphoma or some other issue. With a multi-cat household with several special needs kitties of my own and my own large vet bill, I can't afford to take on any further debt so I am asking for help which I rarely do. I feel every cat and dog should be given 110% chance at continuing their life as healthy as possible. Toby is not in any pain and though feisty, he is sweet with me. His prior vet bill was $200 and this recent vet bill was $500. If an ultrasound will be needed, additional costs will occur. Please help me so that Toby as a senior can continue to live and be safe indoors. Invoices and photos posted.
