A gentleman who’s been feeding 30+ cats (AND he paid to have them ALL vetted) needs his community’s help. He was hit by a car last Friday, unable to work, unable to pay his bills, & unable to feed the cats on his own. 5-3-22 Morrow - cat needs exploratory surgery
EMERGENCY 🆘Late last night we received an urgent message about a cat in desperate shape. The details of her past week were gruesome, and immediately recognized as pyometra - a potentially life-threatening infection. We rushed her to the ER, and breathed a sigh of relief when we were told at 3:10 am her surgery was a success and she was stable. We received this message from PAC: Morrow is not doing well. We repeated a CBC and her red blood cell count has gone down, she’s very pale, and after doing abdominal X-rays we have noted some free fluid in the abdomen. The fluid is at a difficult spot to get to, we have tried ultrasounding and pulling some off but it didn’t work as well as we wished. We strongly recommend an abdominal exploratory to see where the fluid is coming from (if she might be bleeding internally, etc) +/- a blood transfusion. Prognosis is very guarded at this time.
Morrow has battled to survive and we thought she was in the clear. To live, she has to have this surgery. There is no time to fundraise. Please say a prayer for her, and donate if you are able.

5-10-22 Gunner - stray cat with mangled leg
I know I might be asking the impossible but,..I feed 2 Farrell cat’s and 3 days ago a another one came around with his leg bent all the way to the back he has an open wound on his back not two big no tail after I seen it I feed him & tried to catch him but I could not ,..I can’t do it by myself then I did not see him for 2 nights now tonight he appeared his leg is just hanging he or she is just dragging it to get from one place to another he ate a little tonight but now he is going ne’er the car and there ar 3 raccoon’s hanging out in the tree they ate the rest of the food and I chased them and they went up a tree ,..a mother and he two babies I am so scared of might happen to this defenseless cat CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET THIS CAT TO A DR OR THE HUMAN SOCIETY PLEASE ,..MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS **UPDATE** 5/10 update! 05-10-22 - Little Man - sweet senior needs eye surgery
4/26/22: Little Man saw the ophthalmologist today and has been diagnosed with 2 separate issues: corneal sequestrum in the right eye and entropion (rolling of the eyelids) in both eyes. Both conditions are very painful and compromise his sight. The estimate for the 3 surgeries (Superficial Keratectomy to correct the corneal sequestrum and entropion bilateral surgery) is $2100. His sight and quality of life depend on it. 5/10/22: Yes, Little Man is a senior. That doesn't change the fact that this little lion needs eye surgery. He deserves the chance to live out his years inside laying in a window watching the birds fly by. He has the heart, soul, and will of a lion. Help me help this sweet soul. We are all going to be old one day - seniors matter.

5-11-22 Many cats need help
Misfit Paws Rescue is asking for donations. We need help !!! This estimate on the kitties from the property in WV is very high. Our estimate to treat them all is $1200 and that’s just an estimate. They are EXTREMELY sick. They have lived a horrible life so far, can we turn that around and give them a loving, healthy future?? Only one came back FIV FeLV pos which is good. But, goodness this is gonna take a lot of help. Thanks everyone for your support. The requests have been overwhelming to help right now, and we hate to say no to any, but we have to cover the vet bills in order to continue. 😞. They will all be hospitalized and fluids, treatment for URI and all medical will be addressed and what ever else they need.

5-14-22 Calypso - kitten with an obstruction
This girl is only one years old and 3 pounds 😪😪😪. Her mama needs our help desperately Apparently she has a bowel blockage and they need to do surgery. 🙏. She is the sweetest little girl you would ever want to meet and we are trying everything to get them to agree to this and continue on with the surgery ❤️🙏😻. HELP……. she is at PETS ER right now 😪😪😪 If I tagged you please share the post so we can try to get some funds to help!!! I had her tested on Wednesday for FIV/FELV which was negative and also had a stool sample tested which was negative for parasites. I was thinking possible FIP but once diagnosed tonight ( X-rays) at PETS ER it is a bowel obstruction

5-18-22 Two neglected cats need medical care

Wise Animal Rescue is asking for donations.
A donor from a local pet food pantry group contacted Wise Animal Rescue and informed us of two cats living in horrific conditions in a cellar of a dilapidated home. The former residents have vacated the premises. Twelve years ago, when the cats were only four months old, they were placed in the cellar, where they would remain until our volunteer Gail came to the rescue.
They have lived with little or no human contact and NO veterinary care. As our team entered the home that day, they could barely move around the hoarding environment that these cats have lived in their whole lives. They ate cat food filled with soiled litter, which caused them to vomit due to the liter contamination, a grim reflection of their lives so far. As of now, we have captured one cat and are still working to rescue the other. We rushed the first cat to the Veterinary ER for examination. It was discovered she has one eye with fur completely matted up and down her back. The harness she was forced to wear for years had to be cut off, resulting in patches of missing hair. Thankfully the harness had not embedded itself in her skin. She is running a fever of 103.8. Further examination is pending.This pair will need a lot of TLC and veterinary care. Please consider donating towards their recovery as they begin the first day of the rest of their lives.

5-19-22 Small rescue in need of help
I always have such a hard time asking for help but with the cost of everything going up such as food, pee pad, and vet care I am having a hard time. I also need to get Paris and Timmy to the vets. Which I not sure what I am going to run into with Paris to start I need to get her rear end x-ray alont with her throat as I think she either has a collapse trachea or an enlarged heart, she is struggling walking and she has something strange going on with her private areas. As beautiful as she is she is another medical mess. Timmy has an old wound on his back which isn't healing and we need to figure put why it never heals. This might end up being a specialist if we can't get this matter resolved. Just their basic special diet has almost doubled in cost chicken went through the roof their dry dog food has gone from $60 a bag to $85 a bag 33 pound bag. Not to mention the pumkin, rice and treats. Dental have gone from an average of $500 to now just for a basic dental no teeth pulled is $800. I could go on and on and in but I am sure each and everyone of you have noticed the basic need for our fur babies have sky rocketed in the last year...So please every $1 helps Thank you and I feel so horrible to have to ask

5-20-22 Hurt kitty
Kitty Corral is asking for donations.
We took in this poor sweet kitty this morning. James and Ashley saved this beautiful girl hurt in the street. She has a fractured hip and road rash. Worst of all she has kittens somewhere. The finders have been searching but haven't located them. We're waiting to find out if she needs to go to a surgeon, and we will also need help to raise funds for her surgery. This type of surgery runs about $2500. We don't have a quote for today as of yet. She will be staying in the hospital until surgery .

5-24-22 Zemira - horse needs meds
Hi friends, I'm sorry to ask but Zemira and I need a little help...as many of you know, she was diagnosed with EPM ( Equine Protozoal Myelitis) about 2 yrs ago. After being rescued from living a life of complete neglect, she was faced with a life threatening illness. Some horses receive the treatment and are able to rid their bodies of the parasite after treatment, she was not and continued to have neurological episodes. The life saving decision was made to put her on a drug called Protazil for the rest of her life, without this drug, the parasite will take over her neurological system and she will lose her life. She is currently thriving, gaining weight and feeling good. The cost of this drug is very high, its $850.00 a bucket, she receives a half dose daily so one bucket lasts 2 mths.... I was able to cover it the last two times but am struggling this time.
