11-01-22  Jude - cat with tail torn off

Emergency help needed!!! We just received a text that this super-friendly cat, who happens to be living on the street, has had his tail somehow ripped off. This gruesome sight is hard to look at, but it is harder to think of how painful this poor boy must be. Despite the extreme pain he’s experiencing, “Jude” is still friendly and allows handling. He must be an incredibly special cat, and we could not look away. A kind group of people have come together to help Jude, and we have agreed to put him under our rescue. He will be on his way to one of our 24-hour vet partners in just a minute, once he is safely in a carrier. Jude was alone, but he isn’t anymore. Please give what you can, and help us help him. With many others hospitalized, this was not easy to take on, but it was harder to ignore. We will update as soon as we can. Until then, please keep sweet Jude in your hearts.

11-02-22 Cats in need of food

I'm sorry for bothering but was wondering if y'all help individuals? I'm trying to get street cats off the street here in monroe ga. I care for right at 30 kitties. 21 are indoor only. I try to find homes but only luck up with a few. I lost my transportation 3 months ago and have no way of getting to food pantries and thet can't really give enough for what I need. I have 15 boxes to fill as well. it's impossible for me to save any money to get the suburban fixed when i spend 100 a week on these kitties. btw, all are fixed except the 3 that were born this year and they'll be fixed when I can transport them to the clinic. I'm not a rescue, I just see a problem and do what I can to help them live. please, if you do help, please consider me.

Our sweet Penny was missing for 4 days. She made her way back home today but is injured and needing medical assistance! Things are tight financially and we can't afford x-rays, and a hefty vet bill. If you can please help us please let me know. She is not able to use her back end well, we think she may be bleeding internally and possibly from being hit by a car

11-11-22 Kitten food needed

Critters 4 U Rescue INC is asking for donations. Rescue is getting harder and harder everyday. Everybody is struggling which means donations are extremely low. Fundraisers are failing. We are being asked more and more for help and without the support snd donations we are not going to be able help. We are out of cat food and litter. We have close to 100 kittens in rescue. We just went to store to purchase enough to get us through today. Which means less we have to put in the medical needs. We have Clyde who just has a $3500 surgery and has pneumonia. He still needs his HW treatment, we have LadyBug who had a $3500 obstruction surgery, has some sort of irritant in her nose and is on meds. She may need exploratory procedure to see if its a foreign body in her nose and now she has an infected internal suture. Many more in rescue who need medical care. This doesnt include the daily care. We have lots of cats who need trapped , many spay/neuters, etc. Without your support and donations we cant do this.

11-16-22  Feral shed needs cat trees

To make a very long story short; I read about a woman who takes care of several feral cats and was forced to move to another location, which happened to be out of state. Luckily, she had someone buy

her a shed to convert to an inside shelter for the feral cats which she moved with her. But she has nothing to put inside so we are fundraising to help purchase some cat trees/beds. She especially needs tall trees so they can look out the windows and have their own space to keep fighting to a minimum.

So if anyone can donate it would greatly help these kitties

11-20-22 Colony in need of food

I have yet another starving colony in need of food. We have spent far more money on food this year than medical expenses.  SO SAD!  The photo I used is my own cat since the person needing the food is elderly and has no capabilities to get photos. We are getting TNR help for him but he is trying to feed over 100 cats with a very small fixed income. They REALLY need food to try to bulk up their body fat to withstand the winter. Please help!!

11-21-22 Perry  neglected dog hit by car

PERRY - another rescue case: Sweet boy Perry has suffered a lot the last few weeks. The starved Hound/Shepherd-mix was found by a Good Samaritan on Wednesday limping along a rural road. He has a badly broken back leg-the bone is splintered and sticking out, and he is below weight.
Our vet thinks he was hit by a car. His back legs have scars that appear to us that he was restrained with wire. The leg is badly infected, but the leg can't be amputated until he gains weight. He is on antibiotics. He is in loving hands with a foster. He is the sweetest, most humble boy.
The good news is that he tested negative for heartworms and tick diseases.

11-21-22 More cat food needed

Hi Ramona I am reaching out to see if your group would be able to help out a lady who is caring for a colony whose owner died. there are about eight cats left that I have previously fixed for Claude (the gentleman that passed away) I am wondering if you could send some dry food to her to keep this colony going I have been helping her out but with some of the upcoming surgeries I have I'm just going to have a hard time doing so. If not I totally understand. I am going to enclose her name and address just in case. The kitties are not picky they're just thankful that somebody is still continuing to care for them.

11-26-22 Tracer - kitty fighting panleukopenia

Hi! I'm so desperate and not sure if y'all can help. My husband and I found a stray cat 9 days ago in the parking lot of cracker barrel. He is the absolute sweetest boy and I quickly fell in love with him. He stopped eating and started throwing up bile the day before Thanksgiving, so Thanksgiving day I took him to the emergency vet. They did x rays and a FIV test, the x rays showed no blockages and his FIV test was negative. They sent me home with anti nausea medicine for him and I was optimistic. He didn't get better last night though so I took him back to the emergency vet today. He had a 105 degree fever and they did bloodwork. His white blood cell count was very low and so they did a parvo test and it was posting. He was diagnosed with panleukopenia. My husband is an active duty Marine and we have four young girls, so we were definitely not prepared to pay for this hospital bill for a cat we just found. But I couldn't not try to save him. We've spent 1200 so far on him and he's in the hospital overnight. I made a go fund me because I'm pretty desperate to help him. I've included the link and a copy of the first vet paperwork, he's still there. please let me know if you can spread the word, he's such a good boy and I need him to pull through.  My 6am update today was that he's stable and not crashing, they're hopeful because he's 9 months old and bigger that he has a chance. He's still nauseous and doesn't want to eat but has been on iv fluids all night. They're going to run a repeat blood count at the 24 hour mark to see how things are looking. That should be in the next hour or so.

Sweet Lady was vomiting and not eating. She went to vet who did bloodwork and exam and learned she has a large calcium stone in her bladder which needs to be surgically removed asap as it is painful. The pain makes her avoid the litter box and she became constipated.
Estimate is $800. Update: Lady's bloodwork looks good and surgery is scheduled for Wednesday the 30th. Donations can be called into the vet Any donations would be appreciated.

11-30-22  Another cat colony in need of food

Another large cat food need. One person is trying to feed many cats scattered throughout several colonies. She has no help and of course, on a fixed income. The cats are all tnr'd but she desperately needs help with food. I had $400 worth sent so that leaves our account pretty low until the next facebook payout.
