Ferals With Friends - Lois's Lounge: Muffin Man is down with pancreatitis. This is not an easy illness to deal with and requires daily meds even after he’s released from the vet in order to coat his stomach and ensure he doesn’t have a relapse. I’m frustrated and concerned that this issue is going to keep happening and I don’t know what the root cause is or how to figure it out. I can’t afford to keep doing this and taking a cat to the vet every few weeks or months for this issue. This is going to be well over $600 again if not more depending on how Muffin Man responds to treatment.

11-1-23 Feral cat houses
I am so excited for this new feature!!! This is the one we voted on the other day. It is for feral cat houses for a group who got some land donated to use for feral cats from their county. I got them two. I didn't really want to spend so much but with shipping it came to $319. I had to get good one because they will be out in the open so it isn't like they will be under any cover. Plus, they are insulated. This is such great news for the cats in that area that have no where to go. I hope they get a lot more help. But now, we really need help raising more to replenish what I spent. And if anyone wants to buy another cat house for them, or other supplies just PM for their shipping address. I'll put the original post in the comment section so you can see what they are looking for in donated items. But here is a photo of the houses I got and had shipped today.

11-5-23 Oreo - need er very ill
Hello everyone, I’m posting this as a post for help! My cats been feeling kind of sick for a week, last week my cat woke up with his eye closed and had a runny eye. I bought him some eye wash at petco hoping it would get better. It’s cleared up a bit but it’s still present. I noticed he was acting a bit weird yesterday, sleeping more and not eating as much ( still eating tho ). I took his temperature today and my baby has a fever of 105. I took him a shower to hopefully help him cool down. I’m only posting this post because I can not afford to take him to the emergency veterinary clinic today. If anyone can help out with anything at all please,even tips to help him feel better. UPDATE: Oreo was taken to the urgent care last night and was given antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine to help with the fever. Last night when we got home I checked his fever and it was back to normal. He woke up again this morning looking and acting a bit better but we’re still not sure what’s wrong since we didn’t do a blood panel test. Thanks again everyone for being helpful, I’d you’d like to donate torwards his bill/ blood panel my information is in the caption. UPDATE: My baby’s fever is getting high again 😕 I don’t know what to do but take him to the hospital again and I’m just hoping we raise money to pay for the bill. 11-7-23 Bernie - urinary blockage

11-8-23 Man needs help with cats/porch
I came across this post about a man who has had a lot of cats dumped off on him that he is trying to help feed and tnr. His porch is a mess and people are trying to help him get it fixed. I can't help with that but I can help with food! I had about $200 worth of cat food sent so far. I'll attach a link to the post in case anyone wants to follow up with it. I think they have enough pledges to get most of it done. It is in Detroit, MI. I won't give out the address as all that does it show people where they can dump even more cats that he cannot afford.

11-14-3 Cordi - needs dental asap
Meraki Animal Sanctuary: **FUNDRAISING FOR DENTAL SURGERY**
I rescued this sweet girl, Cordelia Mae, back in August from an empty lot in Germantown. We unfortunately had to put her sister down because they found cancer in her mouth and she was suffering. Cordi has been shy, but she’s finally feeling comfortable in a home and even sleeps in bed with me now! I’m so proud of her progress. The vet mentioned an oral nasal fistula so that’s why we originally went for the consultation. The vets at the Bridge clinic (where we do most of our dentals) said that Cordi will need most, if not all of her teeth removed because they are rotten. They will be looking into the oral/nasal fistula, but that comes after the removal. This is unfortunately going to cost at least $1000. We already spent $145 on the consultation and medication because a kitten of ours went as well and had juvenile gingivitis. He is taking a steroid and antibiotics. Cordi is currently still eating, but she is losing weight and I was concerned about her health about a week ago - she didn’t look good. She bounced back, but this surgery will really help her in the long run and hopefully give her a better life in her senior years. Right now I have to give her fluids until we get her in for surgery. And she will need another blood panel because she is anemic.

I have been following this story for a few days now. They have been trying to trap this cat but he keep eluding capture and running off. Hiding in abandoned basements and not able to eat so luring with food isn't working. But FINALLY they got him and rushed him to the vet. He is on two antibiotics and fluids and now he needs lots of prayers that he makes it!! West Side Cats is the

11-21-23 Milo cat has severe pneumonia
Long story short, this man has a kitty (his son) who is very sick. He has severe pneumonia. He spent all the money he has getting him to the hospital over the weekend and was quoted $7,000 to keep him there and treat him. He couldn't, and also couldn't get enough donations to help either.
He was on his way to another vet to have kitty euthanized rather than allow him to suffer and suffocate when a generous donor suggested a different vet hospital who was less expensive and also donated a few hundred dollars to help. So kitty is now admitted to the new hospital which is much less expensive and will stay admitted as long as the donations will allow. The Dollar Club called in $200 so far and we will see how far that helps. This kitty is this man's life and his son, he is everything to him!

11-22-23 Sissy - abscess
I have applied for both scratch pay and care credit and was denied by both I was brushing my kittys and when I brushed her tail the comb was full of puss and blood then I noticed a very large abscess and her tail is all swollen but she won’t let me touch it or clean it she has yet to go to a vet so this would be her first time but I have called several vets and asked for prices and help and they tell me to even get her looked at would be $95 not including treatment I’m crying out for help for my baby girl sassy. I am currently in college but don’t have a job at the moment so it’s really hard and I hate the fact because I can’t come up with the funds she has to suffer😿

11-26-23 Hoarder house emergency
Today has been a roller coaster of emotions! I can't even explain to you the pure hatred I have for these people. I can't even explain to you the shit I seen today and how much I want to break down and cry! There was 23 in total we removed from this house, Thats just us.. god only knows how many was to begin with. Every single one SKIN AND BONE. Every single one STARVING! Earmites, some missing parts of their tail, some with eye injuries and a few long haired SO MATTED!!! There was no heat, no food. Please 🙏 that we got them all! My biggest fear is for any to be hiding or trapped somewhere. I was able to vaccinate all but 3, luckily one being an adult. I was able to do so because of Karen Washik and Donnie N Erica you both are so amazing!! I spent $372 just on revaluation plus, which brought our vet account balance to $485.40. I knwo everyone is full, but I could really use help.. I am so over my max it's unnerving, but.. I couldn't leave them there. If you find space to take any PLEASE LET ME KNWO! (Nanticoke, PA) I will be more than happy to bring them to you.
I seriously can't wait for this to all unfold and the public knows what happened. Maybe then I'd get more help... it literally was just my husband and I rounding up 19 cats.. my husband's hands are so swollen and bloody, but... it needed to be done. Please keep those supplies coming.. I have 19 kitties to fatten up ontop of the stupid amount I already have. THe biggest needs are Vet Help, Food/Litter any kind, adult/kitten and vet donations.

11-28-23 needs a good sturdy scratch post
before i go in to detail, i am NOT trying to rehome my baby. so i live with my in-laws, and have had my cat for a little over a year now. through this time she has scratched the couches, and my in-laws don’t like that. they told us they are getting a new set of couches and want her gone. they said if she scratches the new couches they get then she’s going out. i brought up that i can get the no scratch spray and get a cat tree or cardboard scratcher. the problem is, i can not afford neither. my husband is waiting for a job to call back, we have been out of work for a month. is there anyone willing to help donate any scratch spray or scratching post/board. it’s totally okay if it was used before, i just need to prove to them i can get her to stop scratching.
my baby is very well taken care of, spayed, shots, and is just a sweet fat lazy house cat. it will break my babies heart if we have to get rid her. if anyone can please please help, i’d so greatly appreciate it. i’m in 77075

11-28-23 Callie - suspected blocked cat
Hello everyone, meet Callie! I am making this post in search of help. I’ve noticed that she has been going to the restroom every 5mins but isn’t actually doing anything (I’ve checked litter box after every use). I’ve came to the conclusion that she has an UTI. Unfortunately due to thanksgiving being last week and other financial problems I’m unavailable to take care of her vet expenses.
It hurts to see her like this. I’m sure she hasn’t even slept well due to constantly having to go the litter every 5mins. I’m not asking for any money. I’m looking for recommended vets that can help me by having payment plans or anything in that nature.. if it’s in your heart and not much to ask for I’m willing to accept someone’s vet appointment. My wife is actually off tomorrow and she can bring her to the vet if anyone is willing to help. I don’t want to take pictures of her behind because I feel that maybe some people don’t wanna see that. But it looks like mucus is coming out from there or her private area.
