10-01-19  Sushi  - kitten with diaphramatic hernia

HOME Rescue is asking for donations.🆘🆘🆘🆘 URGENT🆘🆘🆘🆘

What started as a rescue for an obvious leg injury from the local Fort Worth Shelter has now turned into a life or death situation for little Sushi. We noticed almost immediately that his breathing didn't look right. After x-rays and a visit today, we have learned he has a left side diaphragmatic hernia. He will need the same surgery that we had done on Junie the dog. We will be getting him into Dallas Surgical Center to get the surgery done which will be in the $3,500 to $4,000 range. Honestly we just don't have the funds for this surgery. We were only made aware of the leg but doesn't change the fact that little guy must have this surgery. It is so heartbreaking to hear him struggle to take a breath. Please consider making a donation to help this little guy with his surgery he so desperately needs. Thank you so much for your love and support for this precious angel.

10-01-19  Bentley  - cat needs leg amuptation

Bentley estimated to be 8 years old was found severely injured in a car engine and brought to a shelter where no one stepped up to help him. He tested FIV+ which caused his large wounds and lacerations not to heal after the vet cleaned, stitched and debrided the wounds for several weeks. It caused a severe infection that endangered his life. The vet recommended amputation of the entire leg which was not affordable to me being only on Social Security. The final option was euthanization as he would become septic and suffer. My heart broke as I wanted to give this sweet kitty every chance possible to live. Angels of Animals, hearing about Bentley, took him under their wing and had the vet proceed with an emergency amputation to save his life. The surgery was intricate and lengthy due to the removal of extensive infection. Angels of Animals is an amazing rescue that specializes in special needs cats and dogs giving hope when all hope is gone. Bentley is an example of their tireless efforts. They give animals 110% chance to help them continue to live. In sincere appreciation, I am starting this fund to help cover Bentleys amputation and aftercare. Their funds are exhausted due to helping countless kitties and other animals with severe issues and special needs.

10-03-19  Angie  -  cat with pneumonia

I think Angela has pneumonia too. She lives outside in the catio and they sleep in a insulated cabin with a heat lamp. I check on them during the night and the coldest time of the day is around 6 am. When I checked on them this morning their plug to the heat lamp had been pulled out and it was about 32 degrees. The weather changing this rapidly from 80s to 30s and then the rain keeping all surfaces wet is so dangerous to all of the catio cats. Angela is wheezing this morning. I want to take her In to the vet's office in Sidney to get a very strong shot of antibiotics.

We cannot take our cats to the vet any longer without pledges and donations. We are out of money. Please help us get Angela to the vet today by calling our vet's office and pledging for Angela's visit and Dolly's the day before yesterday. Please help us help our rescued feral cats. They need us! Thank You! ♥

10-04-19  Polly  - starved & emaciated stray cat and kittens

Cat Atrium is asking for donations. Not only did this emaciated girl wander up to a home but she brought her 2 kittens with her... kittens!!! She is so skinny and weak that she walks wobbly and can't jump well without falling. How has she fed her babies? How has she survived?
The home that she chose to seek help, for herself and her kittens, is trying to find help. They have reached out to us before going to the municipal shelter. Mom will need extensive care and kittens will need to have a bottle feeder. We will need your support to make this happen. Would you consider a tax deductible donation for this little family?  **UPDATE**  She has been in hospital care since Monday. She is on IV fluids and she is being syringe fed. She is eating small amounts on her own but the veterinarian is wanting her to have a more regimented feeding schedule. She is a very sweet girl and loves to get attention even though she does not feel well. Polly is getting all the treatment possible and now we have to wait and see if she is strong enough to pull through. Please consider donating toward her medical costs, as she has a tough road ahead of her. Her two babies are doing great in their foster home and they transitioned to a bottle very easily. Please send Polly lots of prayers, love and positive thoughts. 10-8-19 Amber  -  kitten with diaphramatic hernia

Angels of Animals, Inc is asking for donations. Donations desperately needed for this baby!
Little Amber was rescued with a diaphragmatic hernia - a life-threatening condition in which her intestines were wrapped around her heart, causing respiratory distress and gradual starvation. While our hope had been to wait until she was bigger, her condition became critical this weekend. Yesterday, at 1.9 pounds, Amber had the surgery that will hopefully save her life. She is hospitalized at Oradell in critical care. Her blood pressure is stabilizing and she even ate a little. So far, we stand to spend about $4000 to save Amber's life. Please help us help this sweet baby if you can - every little bit counts! Thank you for the outpouring of love and support for this precious little girl!

10-09-19  Homer  - stray cat needs leg amputation

I have a kitty who was brought to me with trauma to his left rear leg. He requires emergency amputation tomorrow morning. It looks like he was attacked and the bite lead to infection in his joint. Unfortunately, the vet says the only way to save him is amputation. His muscles are completely atrophied due to him holding it up to avoid pain. Poor baby. I have named him Homer.

10-09-19  Zanzibar  - kitten with neurological emergency

Zanzibar is an approx 9 week old kitten who has already experienced quite a bit in his short time on this earth. He was originally found as a stray in terrible condition in Philadelphia and slated for euthanasia at a local shelter. The Cat Shack stepped in and saved him, placing him in a foster home with a weakness for medical cases and black cats, both of which he was! Zanzibar had a pronounced head tilt, walked in circles and was severely underweight when he was found. The Cat Shack immediately had him assessed by a vet and he was started on medication and some force feedings in his foster home. After the first few days, which were touch and go, he started to recover and his head tilt improved a bit, he began to have more control of his movements and he decided he actually loves to eat and would be happy to do so on his own! Within 2 weeks he had gained almost half a pound and started to learn to play with toys, boss the dog around and yell at anyone he could find when he was hungry. We thought Zanzibar was out of the woods but then suddenly within 18 hrs he went from a happy, playful kitten to not being able to walk and completely unaware of his surroundings. His foster parents woke up to him crying in his bed at 4 am and rushed him to the emergency vet. He spent 10 days at the vet in the ICU before rejoining his foster family. He has slowly regained the ability to hold his head up, eat, walk and just generally be a happy kitten. He continues to have some neuro deficits, including not being able to fully control his hind legs (the right is better than the left), limited sensation in his tail, and he still needs stimulation and assistance to urinate and defecate. He is also on 6 different medications including antibiotics, steriods and several others. The hope is that we will continue to see small improvements every day and slowly be able to wean him off the majority of the medication. His foster family also participates in lots of play therapy with him daily to help him exercise his legs and rebuild some of the muscle. LT's future is still a bit uncertain but knowing what a spitfire he is and how many people he has in his corner we are hopefully he will make a full, or near full recovery and he will have a great quality of life with many happy years in a forever home.

10-11-19  Groot  -  blocked cat

My precious baby boy needs emergency surgery for a blockage. The poor guys is in pain, cant use the bathroom or eat. The vets wont take him on a payment plan, please help me. He is a Male cat and a blockage can be fatal. I have had him since he was 12 weeks old and feral. Now he is the sweetest most loving boy ever. I've taken care of all of his medical expenses personally and couldn't begin to imagine needing help caring for him, but now I need help. They drained his bladder with a needle, told me to consider euthanasia if I didn't have the money, charged me 125 and sent me on my way.  **UPDATE** he peed overnight! So they are starting antibiotics and pain meds along with a canned food diet since he could not raise the needed money overnight for surgery - which may not be necessary now.

10-26-19  Maize  -  lost dog who was attacked by a coyote

Maize was missing since last night in the Bowersox Rd area of Milton when she bolted out the door. She found her way home and was found on her blanket on the porch but she wasnt good. Maize was attacked by what the vet feels could have been a coyote and is fighting for her life.
This poor family really needs prayers and positive thoughts right now. They have applied for every bit of help they could get but couldnt get it. They could only borrow so much. They have paid the maximum they could come up with and the vet is giving the care for that amount. :( The decision will have to be made in the morning if she needs to be put down if their limit was reached. She is at the emergency vet. **UPDATE** MAIZIE UPDATE  Maizie did end up with emergency surgery at 4 am this morning. The vet called her family because she was crashing and it was try this or she would die. They opted for the surgery. <3 The vet did surgery even without the funds being there yet. I want to thank this vet so very much for giving Maizie a chance at life. He stated he isnt even sure how shes alive with those injuries. She is now fighting for her little life and hopefully she pulls through. This is where you can help. They only had enough funds to cover until tonight. She has to stay there again tonight. Please know that we appreciate so very much what this vet did and will do everything we can to get the funds. Please understand not all families would ever have these funds for an emergency. Also please understand that a vets office needs paid to keep going. Its a tough situation and Im sure we all have faced something like this or will as pet owners. Im not rescue and dont get discounts at vets offices. Im simply pet recovery who was called to help locate a dog that returned home in this shape. BUT, I will do all I can to help save Maizie. Thanks goes out to everyone who has donated already. If you can donate please do. if you cant, please share. She is in no way out of the woods and needs to stay there and be watched over.

10-28-19  Cat Colony in need of food

Good evening, I am a local rescuer self funded for over 20 years with great vet references for my rescues and, my own companion almost 16 years old, a cat. Recent was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and not feeling well. She is on meds, but it was an emergency trip not long ago with her, when found blood all over the floor, the visit was very expensive. I also feed around 70 cats daily from pocket and when my cat got sick, many other rescues needs too, my car also broke down recently, and I lost my job back in 2017 due to illness-trying to survive...I am also waiting for multiple surgeries what needs to be done for myself, I have vet references, letters, receipts, proof for anything and any documentation for my health status need it....If you guys can help with something at the vet office and some food, would be great. Thanks Anne.

10-30-19  Fonda Cat - stray cat with kittens stuck inside

TriState Noah Project: Stray Mom cat who gave birth to stillborn kittens needs help. This morning we received a message about a stray mama cat who is gave birth very prematurely. She was living in a trailer park and was taken in by a lady who didn’t want crying outside. It’s been less than a week and the mom gave birth this morning to 2 very premature kittens. The mom is still bleeding and crying.  The lady who messaged us has no funds. Her husband has cancer, she has no income and they are barely getting by. She believes there may be other kittens inside still but mama cat is not doing well. We are over our allowed balance at Noah’s ark and don’t have the funds to have her seen right now. A vet visit and ultra sound will be approx $180. She can’t be seen until the money is raised.

I have one more serious emergency with a dog very very special to me. <3 His rescue story is so sweet. (There was a time we were trying to find him and his little bonded friend a home so you might recognize their photo together in the fundraiser.) His name is Goldie and he's just over a year old and will not survive without an URGENT operation. He has a thickening in his stomach blocking off the entrance to his intestines. His Mom will be using her Care Credit, but it's not enough and we have a short window to raise the money. He has a pyloris defect that is blocking anything from passing through so he immediately throws it up..anything helps..Please share and any size donation is so appreciated.
