4-1-17 Silver - Broken pelvis, shot with bb gun

Sweet little Silver has had a rough life. He's had to fend for himself. He's been shot by a BB Gun because we can see the bullets on his ex rays. He's been in many fights with other male cats because we can see the scars. Then he got hit by a car and has a broken pelvis. And we just found out today little Silver is FIV positive. He has a good chance of recovery and can live a long healthy life even with FIV. But he may need surgery to repair his broken pelvis. He needs immediate medical care above what we have been able to pay for. Please help this sweet little guy and show him the love and compassion he has not seen until now. (Pound Pals is a 501c3)

4-4-17 Tell - tail amputation

Tell was rescued from Rowan and the shelter vet had performed a partial tail amputation. Unfortunately, she did not take off enough of the tail and he needs to have another surgery to take off an additional vertibrae. He had other treatments today at Whiskers & Paws for parasites, fleas, URI. That bill was nearly $150 and we need to raise another $230 for tail removal. We are asking if anyone can donate directly to the vet at Whiskers & Paws.

4-13-17 Snowkitty - stomatitis

My eight year old kitty named Snowkitty needs to have surgery on his mouth for sores and most of his teeth need to come out. He hasnt eaten in weeks no matter what we have tried to do. We have taken him to the vet and because he won't let them look at his mouth so we did bloodwork and ekg and everything came back normal. So now they want to put him under and remove most of his teeth and possibly do a biopsy if there is tissue. But because i have a high bill from my 14 year old kitty Snoopy they wont let me add it to the bill. They want a 1000.00 down before they will do anything. And of course my hours have been cut to 24 hours a week since November which is half my income. I am stuck. I have put a call in today because even after a pain shot this weekend he still wont eat and now at this point he will allow me to put on the bill installing a feeding tube to give us some time to gather the money. If anyone can help us we will truly appreciate it. From the bottom of Snowkitty and my heart we love you all.. There is nothing else wrong with him he is not hiding, but he is purring and wants to eat!!! Thank you for listening to me pour my heart out. Love you all!!! if you would like to donate to the

4-19-17 Pez - kitten with diaphramatic hernia

I took my cat Pez to the emergency room today because she was having trouble breathing. She was diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia, where her abdominal contents have moved up into the cavity around her heart and lungs. They said she could have had the hernia for a long time, and that it probably just got worse recently. I spent all I have to keep her in the hospital on oxygen overnight, but I need to attempt to come up with approximately $2,000.00 in order to save her life. They said she should have the surgery tomorrow, or as soon as possible. I cannot afford to leave her in the hospital past 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, so if she is unable to have surgery by then I will have to take her off of the oxygen at that time. It is a difficult surgery, but her prognosis is good if she has the surgery. I have already used everything on my credit cards for other emergencies this year, and I am completely out of money. Pez is a precious cat, who I am actually fostering long-term for someone, and aside from my own love for her, I want her to be here for her original person when he is able to reunite with her again. I also have lost several cats this year, and I cannot stand to lose another right now. It literally might kill me. If anyone is able to help, I cannot thank you enough, and I will pray that you will be blessed always. (NOT 501c3)

4-24-17 Shazam - dog shot in mouth

Shazam was shot twice and he's in need of specialized reconstructive surgery to repair the damage to his hard palate and jaw.  Initial Emergency Treatment:  Shazam has already received emergency surgery at Stoneridge Animal Hospital this afternoon for one entry and one exit wound on the side of his head and below his shoulder.
Shazam's family brought him to Cornell Animal Hospital this evening.
From his DVM in Rochester: He may have a broken lower jaw and has a lot of damage to his hard palate (roof of his mouth) There is a lot of damage so a lot of work is needed. Cornell needs to perform a CT scan of his head to determine the extent of his wounds and from there repair the damages.  He is stable at this point but his mouth is a mess.  He will need a lot of pain medications and antibiotics and rest but he should pull through.
In a phone consultation with Cornell University Hospital for Animals in Ithaca, NY, from Stoneridge Animal Hospital, the very approximate estimate was in the area of $3500 to $5000 just for the tests and procedures and does not include any of the hospital care, overnites or medications needed.
Shazam's owner has just purchased a new home in the last month and funds are tight. He has managed to get together about $2000 to cover Shazam's urgent care. The bill with his surgery this afternoon and overnite care waiting for surgery has already surpassed that amount.

4-26-17 Russell - kitty with horrible neck injury

Meet Russell, kitty trapped in a residential locale. Unfortunately, Russell has a large chemical burn on his neck  and needs surgery, an expensive surgery that entails (extremely painful) debriding the wound, and then stitching it together, perhaps needing to put drains in - because of how large the wound is, this surgery will take a minimum of one hour, possibly two. Then, ten days later, since Russell is feral, he will need to be put under anesthesia again to remove the stitches. The bill for Russell's surgery is going to be over $700.00. If you would like to help Russell, please go to: in the comments section, note that this donation is for Russell's surgery.
