3-2-17 Kika -puppy needing liver surgeryKika has been a patient of mine for a few weeks, and when her veterinary bills became too much for her owner to bear, she was surrendered to me (please no negative comments about her previous owner). It was determined that she has a liver shunt that she will not be able to survive without surgery. The surgery alone has been estimated to be around $3,000, and that does not include the diagnostic imaging. I have set the goal at $4,000 to cover fees that will be taken out by gofundme, and for any imaging that she may need or after care. The medications that she is on currently are not inexpensive either. I am able to provide her care prior, during and after her surgery, but not monetarily. My birthday is also coming up and all I want for my birthday is for her to be better, so in lieu of birthday gifts, I would love to have donations towards Kika. 3-10-17 Kolony Kats - needs help for building fund to save catsMy fiance and I (Kris and Kia) care for close to 40 kitties a day! This number consist of The Kolony Kats, Backyard Boys, Stray Kitty Crew and The Indoor Kitties. All of these kitties have a similar story....they are or were at one point homeless and unwanted. Discarded like trash, and left to fend for themself outdoors. We live in Philadelphia, PA. Our neighborhood is not a safe one for us, or the kitties! We have LITERALLY had several shoot outs happen right out front of our door, robbery, theft, crime, violence, drugs and even had kitties receive injuries that we believe were intentional. In the last 5 months, 3 of our outdoor kitties have sustained head/facial injuries that are considered suspicious. It has gotten to a point that my fiance and I fear for our lives, as well as the kitties. We cannot sleep at night, because we have to stay up and take turns guarding and checking on the kitties. We are stressed and worried constantly. These kitties are our lives! Over the years, we have lost family members and friends because they do not support our passion for the kitties. Some of our family supports, but most don't. They think we are crazy and ridiculous for caring this much for kitties that aren't even ours. Well, we don't care what ANYONE has to say or thinks! These are OUR BABIES, OUR CHILDREN, and we are not leaving until they can come with us. We are looking to relocate outside of the city, to a property large enough to house ALL of the kitties! NO KITTY LEFT BEHIND! This is going to be costly, take time and need to be organized. We will contribute every single penny that we have toward this DREAM. Allthough, we don't have much to offer because we are both on a limited income. Please help us give these kitties the life, love, care, and protection that they desreve! 3-13-17 Jojo - broken pelvisURGENT! JoJo was brought into the shelter and the shelter contacted us for assistance. He was taken to Rowan Animal Hospital and needs our help for his care. 3-15-17 Henry & Timmy, both cats were shotHenry is a 1 year old boy who's a feral cat that my daughter and I tamed and tried to find a home for but didn't have much success, so Henry lives with us and we do our best to take care of him. Recently he was outside an someone shot him in his leg. (Someone shot him!!!!! ).Whatever they shot Henry with is still in Henry's leg and can not be removed. Henry has tons of fragmented pieces scattered threw his leg and all of it can't be cleaned out and his leg is broken!!!! Henry has a long recovery road ahead of him and I'm trying my best to pay for everything Henry needs but the cost of all his visits, meds, an surgery Henry needs AND has a surgery coming up on march 16th (I only got 13 days left) is far greater then what I can afford. I have used my care credit for Henry of 500.00 already to cover his first surgery. I have asked for an increase but was denied. I'm reaching out to all of u guys to ask for help for Henry. 3-15-17 Carol - kitty needing surgery for her VERY painful mouthCarol came to FuRRR from a shelter down south with her sisters Cathy and Carmen. The girls weren't here for very long when we discovered that Carol's mouth was a painful mess! Our vet was surprised that she could even eat, she had broken teeth and terrible inflammation. They scheduled Carol for a dental and once they started they discovered it was so bad they didn't want to put her through the pain of a full mouth dental. The first half was done in December and they said she should have time to heal before doing the second half. The first half of the dental was just under $500 and now it is time for the second half to be done....it is scheduled for March 22nd. In the meantime Carol's sister Carmen was adopted, shortly afterwards she became very sick. It was discovered to late by the adopters vet that she mostly likely had an undiagnosed diaphragmatic hernia and she had to be put to sleep. The concern is that it could be hereditary, we need to have chest x-rays for Carol and Cathy to rule this out. 3-17-17 Lucy - dog needing surgeryHi,I was given your info from a friend. She was hoping (as I am)that you may be able to help My Lucy. She's My mini dachshund.
