5-1-17 Victoria Cat needing surgery ASAP

Victoria is with Renaissance Cats Rescue Group. UPDATE**** Victoria's surgery has taken place last night. Dr. Boden of Columbus Vet was able to save her leg. The tendons were injured, but intact! Victoria is not ok yet, however. Much of her skin, what was ripped off, had lost blood flow and died. Dr. Boden is doing her best to protect the large open wound with the skin left alive. She will remain in the vet hospital until she is completely ok, with IV fluids continuous, and with a tremendous amount of painkillers and antibiotics. So far, so good, thanks to the amazing effort of Dr. Boden. While this increases our needs for this fundraiser, it's the best thing for Victoria's future. Thank you so very much for donating :) Victoria will have a second surgery to help close the wound left after we discover how much skin has died.

5-3-17 Xena - severely neglected cat

UPDATE #4: Xena did very well through surgery. The next few days are critical for her though. She will be staying the night at the clinic and will hopefully ready to come home tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
UPDATE #3: Xena has done so well today. She goes in for surgery tomorrow morning to get her tail amputated. The surgery can cost anywhere from $700-$1000. Her visit last night was $300. We have only raised about $600 total so please keep sharing and donate if you can! <3
UPDATE #2: At the ER we were able to get more maggots out of Xena's rectum and tail. They did blood work and found that she is a little anemic and we may have to do a transfusion. They sent her home with antibiotics and pain meds and they want to amputate her tail on Wednesday. She needs a few days to get a little stronger before putting her under anesthesia. Her surgery will be expensive so if you can help donate, please do. She deserves a chance. THANK YOU so much to everyone who has already helped support sweet Xena! She is now at home with me getting lots of TLC and yummy food. The next couple of weeks are critical but we believe we can get her through this. <3
UPDATE: We are at the ER with her now. When our vet looked at her today we spent an hour getting maggots out of her. Please donate if you can. She is in bad shape and we need all the support we can get.
Alright everyone we need as much support as we can get right now! This sweet girl will be coming to us today and we will be taking her to our vet for treatment. She was found with severe wounds on her tail and back legs and extremely emaciated and dehydrated. It will be a long road of recovery for her and we need help to get her the treatment she needs. She will most likely need her tail amputated unfortunately.
Please donate if you can by clicking on the link below. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization and we run completely off of donations. Thank you for your support! <3

5-4-17 Skye - sick kitty

Skye is one of several cats that are taken care of by Al Chernoff in Philadelphia.  He rescues, feeds colonies and vets the sick/hurt ones by himself.  Skye is one of them and has been very ill.  Her x rays show that her lung disease is a bit worse. She received fluids. Blood work and senior profile tests were done. Skye will receive the results tomorrow. She also had a badly infected rear toe nail, which was cleaned up and I have to give her antibiotics. Depending on the results and next couple days she could need a lung ultrasound and a needle biopsy to see if she may have lung cancer.  She was very sick when he came home last night and rushed her to the vet again.  This time, she has all kinds of bad things going on in her bladder.

5-9-17 Carmello - puppy needs heart surgery

We rescued Caramello and her sister Skittles after they were seen being thrown out of a moving vehicle. A wonderful foster, Lia stepped up to give them the daily care they both needed. They had severe road rash covering their extremities and under their chins. They have had continuous bandage changes and vet check ups since being in foster care. These girls are fighters and are healing up wonderfully! Here comes the part where we need help- during one of their routine follow ups it was discovered that Caramello has a serious heart murmur. She was then referred to SC Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Care. During her exam by the cardiologist, she was diagnosed with a Grade VI heart murmur, the most critical heart murmur. We were strongly advised that she undergo a Balloon Valvuloplasty as soon as possible to improve long term outcome, giving her a better quality and quantity of life. Without this surgery she is only expected to live a maximum of 2 years. To explain in simple terms- her heart is currently working much faster than it should which causes her to become exhausted after a few short minutes of puppy play. Caramello is currently taking medication to help ease the workload of her heart and in 3 weeks she has a follow-up to see if she is strong enough to undergo the procedure. The vet estimated bill for this surgery is $5,000. The cardiologist told us this is a very successful procedure and will give Caramello many happy and healthy years. Not only do Caramello and Skittles deserve justice for what happened to them, they both deserve to live the life of a normal dog. Please help us help Caramello! Their story has been shared by many and now we need your help sharing this fundraiser. Any donation adds up! Thank you!!  TLC Pet Rescue is a 5013c

5-12-17 Baby girl - needs emergency surgery for anal stricture

Baby girl went to the vet yesterday because she's been screaming when she tries to defecate. Dr. Holtzinger found a stricture keeping her from expelling without extreme pain it's a place where there's no way for it to stretch it would be like taking a plastic ring that's hard and solid that won't stretch when you're trying to stick something through it or push something through it like she's trying to do that's why she screaming. The solution is to cut it out and reconstruct her area of her rectum she has full muscle use it's not about she can't expel it's about it won't go through that stricture. Dr Holzinger is going to surgically remove the structure and reconstruct it and has agreed to do it for a really low price considering what has to be done please share and donate she is a fabulous Kitty but can't get adopted this way and can't go on this way she's in a lot of pain she's on pain meds and tons of lactulose. we need your help to save her.

Please.? ****UPDATE:   1st vet sent him to an emergency vet. Cat is dehydrated, blood sugar was 400+. Blood work is being done, etc. He is staying over at vet for the weekend. So far bill was $1600.00 not counting his regular vet where he'll be going on Monday. I should have been a vet. But looks like he's going to make it as of now. Pray for the boy.****UPDATE:   Update on Cletus. He is hydrating. His blood sugar is down to mid 200 which is very good. Problem is he is still not eating. I will be visiting with him later to see if i can get him to eat. Vet says if we can't get him to eat i may have to take something else into consideration. Don't even want to think about that.

5-15-17  Wanna Be Pet Rescue

Friends ***********
We have a group who is asking for our help. They are closed for any other emergency intakes until they can pay off some of the vet bills. As you are aware, we do not pay off bills already incurred. We would be inundated with requests if we did this.  However, it is very hard for me to say no when we have a few bucks in the bank. So I need your help and opinions.  The group is Wanna Be Pet Rescue run by Rebecca Hetherington from Mount Carmel, PA. Here is a post they made that I'd like you to read.

Mount Carmel, PA ·
Alright folks, in the past month we have had one cat who required an emergency c section to save it's life (the babies were already dead when it was brought to us), one who had horrible issues with her hind end, and two three legged kittens and two cats hit by cars. A grand total of 35 dollars has been called in to help with these cats. I hate to tell you this folks. Our intake is CLOSED...until you help get this bill paid. We have room and fosters. We depend on donations, and we depend on the publics support. You can call directly to the vet at 570-345-0880, paypal.me/wannabepetrescue. But until 2k is raised the answer is no. Please remember we are non paid volunteers who do this out of our pocket.

5-18-17 Maple - kitty needing painful eye surgery

Hello, my poor kitten Maple is having some eye problems, I'm not sure exactly what's going on but I currently have no money to help her. So I'm asking for the public's help. I'm generally not one to ask for money from strangers but this is pretty serious and upsetting that I can't provide the funds necessary to help my kitten.****UPDATE:  Okay so, I went to the vet today with little Maple, she has lost an eye and requires surgery, and may lose the other eye. The surgery for both eyes is $1,000.
