9-19-17 Danny - cat attacked by a dog

We received an urgent call for help from a Miami Beach resident that an orange community cat that was severely injured & appeared to be dying. He has several bite marks on the left side of his neck & left paw. He has been mauled severely most likely by a dog.  It was also discovered that a good portion of the mauled flesh on Danny's face & paw had now become necrotic. This would require immediate surgery to remove the necrotic flesh to promote healing. Dr. Perales told us that the infection from Danny's wounds had now spread throughout his body & into his bloodstream. Besides Danny's horrific injuries he was also discovered to be dangerously anemic, we were told that a blood transfusion may have to be done to save his life. Danny needed to be on strong antibiotics & be hand fed while he recovered. This would all be challenging especially since Danny is believed to be a feral cat.  We were told that Danny had a 50/50 chance, that it would require thousands of dollars in vet care, that his road to recovery could be months. A kind donor offered to pay the $1700 Initially required to hospitalize Danny for 3 days. This included round the clock care, surgery on the wounds, wound care, the medicines & 24 hour supportive care he would need to give him a fighting chance. His wounds are massive and they would require very detailed care in the hopes healthy tissue grows back. Danny is also being kept on painkillers to keep him comfortable during this critical time.

We want to save Danny and give him that second chance but we need your help. We can't make these miracles happen without the generosity & charity of wonderful animal advocates like yourselves. Danny will need to stay at our 24 hour vet for another 2 weeks. The hospitalization fee alone is $55/night, that alone is about $700-$800 for Danny to receive the care he needs during the two weeks there.

9-19-17 Tiny - dog hit by car

Tiny was ht by a car and has a badly broken humerus and shattered leg.
A wonderful woman vet has stepped up and agreed with compassion to do this surgery at a much lesser price. I must pay the vet bill of what has been done already of $700 which included her emergency surgery to put the bone back in that was popped out of her skin cauterize the veins to stop her bleeding from bleeding out and her hospitalization including medicine. Time is not on her side as the bones will fuse and it will be too late to help her and she will forever be in serious pain. I am begging ....please make donations.  UPDATE!!!! Tiny CANNOT be moved! she is in acute kidney failure :'( This has been brought on due to her trauma...... and it is reversible. Her kidney failure must be reversed before they can fix her leg.

9-20-17 Sparrow - cat caught in a foxtrap

This poor cat was caught in a foxtrap for almost a week prior to being taken to a vet.  A wonderful rescue; Coastal Cats Rescue in Bethany Beach Delaware went to Pennsylvania to rescue this cat and get it the care it needs.  The vet is going to try to save the leg rather than amputate, if possible.
